Stop raising taxes in Davison Township

Lansing is proposing to cut $97 million they provide to our local governments. At the (June) Davison Township board meeting they announced the State of Michigan has already cut $145,000 in revenue to the township. What is the Davison Township board implementing to make up for both of these shortfalls? Why didn’t they vote in a reduction in pay across the board for all board members and employees? Plus are they looking for ways to cut spending like eliminate the Davison supervisor’s car we pay for? I do not think they would be serving the best interest of our residents by raising our taxes a lot of our residents are also hurting. It’s time to stop raising our taxes and look for innovative ways to cut spending and find additional revenues. I plan on doing exactly that when I am elected. — Tim Green, Davison Township
