National Weather Service meteorologists were in neighboring Swartz Creek early Tuesday to assess damage from a storm, Monday night. They reported the damage appeared to be the result of a microburst. The high winds wreaked havoc on trees like this big, old maple that came crashing down on Durwood Drive in Winchester Village on Monday. Oakview Drive was impassable after the storm swept through the village. Residents reported the water was waist-deep. Intermittent flooding occurred throughout the city.
