Summer Youth Programs at MCC

FLINT — Mott Community College’s (MCC) popular MOTT NEXT program still has summer openings. The nextgeneration program features a variety of half-day and full-day sessions for Middle School and High School-aged students to explore topics such as Computers, Music Technology, Cosmetology and Video Productions.

“MOTT NEXT is where the adventure begins!” said Carla Clark, Academic Outreach Coordinator. “These programs are a great way for young people to explore what they are interested in on a deeper level than just reading about it or watching a video about it,” she added, “they will have a chance to experience it first-hand.”

The 2019 MOTT NEXT line-up includes: Beyond Hair! Careers in Cosmetology, July 10, 12-3 p.m. (grades 9-12); Exploring Computers, July 10, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (grades 7 – 12); Music Tech Day, July 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (grades 9-12); and Intro to Film & Video Production, July 25, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (grades 8 – 12)

All programs are free and will be held on the main campus in Flint. Register online at mcc.edu/academic-outreach/ or contact Carla Clark at 810- 232-4530 or email Carla.clark@mcc.edu. G.G.
