Suspects arraigned in deadly March apartment shooting

FLINT TWP. — Three men are facing charges for allegedly shooting and killing a 28-year-old Flint Township man earlier this March.

Flint Township Police arrested 22-year-old Jhalil Hakeem Price and 25-year-old Jalen Malik Price-Davis last Tuesday in connection to the March 29 shooting death of Deomantae Winston. Winston, 28, was shot around 9:10 p.m. outside Sunridge Apartments on Suncrest Drive in Flint Township and was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

Price and Price-Davis, both from Flint, were arraigned on July 23 on first degree murder charges and face up to life in prison with no chance of parole if they are convicted.

Police also arrested 23-year-old Lavonte Reshawn Knott on charges that he lied to investigators and helped the suspects hide after the murder. Knott was arraigned on July 24 for obstruction of justice, lying to a peace officer during a violent crime investigation and harboring felons. — B.G.
