— Fall has arrived in the greenhouse as Agroscaping, Inc., 6443 Grand Blanc Rd., hosts the Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce Fall Fun Networking event 6-9 p.m. Sept. 30.
The event, which serves as a networking opportunity for chamber members as well as newcomers, features a variety of prizes and refreshments. As a special twist, the networking event will support The Eli Foundation. During the event, attendees will have the chance to bid on one-of-a-kind prizes, with proceeds benefiting The Eli Foundation.
Some of the items up for bid during the 30-minute auction include a Detroit Lions helmet signed by Barry Sanders; a rookie hologram signed and donated by the Detroit Tigers; a signed, rear quarter panel from Tony Stewart’s Home Depot winning car from the 2005 Brookyard 400 Race; a one-year Genesys Athletic Club membership with a locker; and a boat slip donated by Skipper Bud’s of Lake Fenton.
The foundation held its first golf outing Sept. 18, but the event was under the weather. The chamber decided to invite The Eli Foundation as its guest to the networking event in hopes to show its support for the foundation, as well as showing support through donations and participation in the live auction.
