The D.R.E.A.M. comes due

FLINT TWP. — The D.R.E.A.M. after-school enrichment program at Dillon Elementary will kick off Session Two on Tuesday, November 26.

D.R.E.A.M. stands for Dillion Reaching Everyone with After-School Moments.

Parents must pay and sign up in advance to enroll their children in the fun, educational after-school classes. Classes have limited space and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A meal is included in the price.

D.R.E.A.M. classes are offered twice a year from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday or Thursday according to grade level.

Session two classes will include a repeat of Little Chefs, a class offering hands-on activities such as how to do basic measuring, read and prepare simple recipes. Students also learn about food safety.

A Computer Basic Skills course will also be offered again with lessons including computer terminology, posture and exploring “kid friendly’” web sites.

Dodge Ball will replace Soccer this session as the active class to keep kids moving and having fun while learning a few different versions of Dodge Ball.

A Cool Crafter Club class will provide hands-on craftmaking. Students get to take home a completed project after each session.

Parents must pick up their child after the program because bus transportation is not provided.
