Three incumbents, challenger projected to win Flushing Twp. trustee race

FLUSHING TWP. — Three incumbents and one challenger are projected to win the race to fill four positions on the Flushing Township Board of Trustees.

At press time Wednesday, incumbent Trustee Linda Minarik (R) was leading the candidate field with 21 percent of the vote (4,187 votes). Incumbent Trustee Sharilynn Willette (R) was in second place with 20 percent of the vote (4,122 votes), followed by challenger Bill Bain (R) in third place with 20 percent of the vote (4,056 votes). Incumbent Trustee Jenifer Almassy (D) was in fourth place with 19 percent of the vote (3,910 votes), edging out incumbent Trustee William Westenbarger (R), who had 19 percent of the vote (3,867 votes).

All numbers reflect the vote counts reported on the Genesee County Clerk website as of press time. — B.G.
