Flint Township View

‘Tis the season of giving

Santa’s elves at the Flint Township Hall have been busy all year knitting most of the hats, gloves and scarves used to decorate this mitten tree on display in the township’s meeting room. The tree is sponsored by Flint Township’s Clerical Union AFSCME Local 1918-01. These gifts of warmth will be donated to children in the Carman-Ainsworth School District who are in need of proper winter clothing. Monetary donations are also being accepted through December 17 for the purchase of more mittens, hats and scarves. Collection boxes also are available in the lobby for non-perishable food items being donated to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and new, unwrapped toys to be donated to Toys for Tots.
