Township board approves purchase of new computers

FLINT TWP. — The Flint Township Board of Trustees Tuesday approved spending a total of $17,385 to replace 12 computers and a server in several departments in the administration offices.

Supervisor Karyn Miller said the current equipment is older and not compatible with the new software. She also said the old software will not be serviced by Microsoft after the end of this year.

The cost of the 12 mid-range computers, including upgraded Microsoft Office software, is $12,348. The cost of replacing the server is $5,037. The equipment will be purchased from ITRight. — J.J.
