FLINT TWP. — Pamela Knowles, a longtime clerical employee, received a send-off cake and a proclamation from the township board.

The proclamation acknowledged Knowles for her utmost professionalism as an able, thoughtful, and dedicated employee during her 22 years of service. She began her full-time tenure with Flint Township on June 6, 1994, following the example of public service set by her father, Claude, who was a charter member of the Flint Township Fire Department,

Knowles spent the majority of her career working for the Sewer and Water and Treasurer’s Departments serving under treasurers Sandra Wright and Marsha Binelli.

Knowles was known for her vast knowledge and history of the township and for her “uncanny memory relating to the residents and business owners.”
