— The Charter Township of Flint seeks sealed proposals to be received at its office, 1490 S. Dye Rd. until noon Dec. 22 for snow plowing, lawn maintenance and noxious weeds mowing services for the township.
Snow plowing will consist of the Administration Offices, 1490 S. Dye Rd.; Flint Township Law Enforcement Facility, 5200 Norko Dr.; Fire Stations located at (#1) 5331 Reuben St., (#2) 3327 Flushing Rd. and (#3) 2511 W. Bristol Rd.; as well as the Senior Citizens Center, 2071 S. Graham Rd.
Lawn mowing and maintenance will consist of the Flint Township Law Enforcement Facility, 5200 Norko Dr.; the Flint Township Carman Ainsworth Senior Center, 2071 S. Graham Rd.; and the Flint Township Park, located just west of the Law Enforcement Facility on Norko Drive, plus along both sides of O’Neal Drive and Menoutes Drive leading to the Law Enforcement Facility off Miller Road and off Norko Drive.

All proposals must be quoted individually for each location and submitted together in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder and a notation “TOWNSHIP PROPERTIES LAWN MOWING AND MAINTENANCE, SNOW PLOWING BIDS AND NOXIOUS WEEDS” in a conspicuous place and must be accompanied by a Performance Bond in the amount of $2,000 per bid request. Bids not accompanied by the $2,000 Performance Bond may be rejected as non-conforming. The Performance Bonds belonging to the bidders who are not awarded the bid will be returned to them by mail.
Specifications and bid blanks may be picked up in the clerk’s office, 1490 S. Dye Rd., 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Monday- Friday, except on holidays. Sealed bids are to be returned to the clerk at the aforementioned address by noon Dec. 22 and will be publicly opened and read aloud at 12:30 p.m. The successful bidder(s) will be announced at the regular meeting of the Charter Township of Flint Board of Trustees at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 in the township hall.
The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive defects, and to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest of the Charter Township of Flint, and /or to reaward a bid should the successful bidder not be able to comply with the requirements of the Charter Township of Flint.
