FLINT TWP. — Flint Township will hold a public hearing for a Special Assessment Street Lighting District on Claude Avenue 7 p.m. Oct. 18 in the township municipal hall, 1490 S. Dye Rd. The Township Board of Trustees approved the public hearing at its Oct. 4 meeting.
The hearing for the Special Assessment Street Lighting District is for three street lights to be installed on Claude Ave. The proposed Special Assessment Street Lighting District consists of eight parcels of property in the township. The board has tentatively declared its intention to allow the improvements by designating those eight parcels as a Special Assessment Street Lighting District. According to the public hearing document, “the cost of said maintenance will be assessed per year per parcel. The first year assessment includes installation costs and administrative fees.”
The township invites the community to the public hearing where the board will hear objections and comments regarding the Special Assessment Street Lighting District. For more information on the public hearing, call the township offices at 810-732-1350.
