FLINT TWP. — The township police department logged its fourth homicide this year and second in 16 days with the death Monday of Ryan Patrick Pinkston, age 36, a resident of Flint Township, who died at McLaren. Medical Center where he was being treated after being shot multiple times, according to a press release.
Pinkston was critically injured during a fight on July 11 at the Admiral gas station at 1135 N. Ballenger Highway.
Police were called to the site at 1:20 a.m. responding to reports of a fight between a male and two females.. Moments later, gunfire was reported at the scene.
Upon arrival, officer learned that Pinkston had suffered life threatening gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital.
The suspect in the shooting has been described by witnesses as a large framed black male with light skin, 30- 40 years old, 6′-6’4″, 250 Ibs, with a bald head and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and unknown pants. He was carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.
The suspect may have received injuries as a result of a fight’at the scene.
