Trinity Lutheran to hold concert series with food truck dining

DAVISON — The Ladies Guild at Trinity Lutheran Church will hold a Free Music for the Community concert series starting June 2 at the church, located at 706 W. Flint St.

Organizers are planning to have food trucks there as well.

The church held its first concert series May 5 and they are calling it a success.

“The community was thirsty for fellowship and music hit the sweet spot,” said Sharri Shomin, organizer of the event. “We had close to 200 in attendance.”

Concerts will be held monthly throughout the summer. No alcohol please, and the church asks those attending to bring their own lawn chairs. There will be porta potties on site.

The church has a large pavilion and grounds. All concerts are the first Wednesday of the month from 5-7 p.m. on church grounds.

The following is the concert lineup for summer:

June 2 – Flash of Green with Ken Kelts and Julius.

July 7 – Blues Summit Trio with Julius and Eddy Blues Barney Blues music

Aug. 4 – Sweet Seasons with Zac, cover music.

Sept. 1 – Kowalski Brothers Polka Band with Keith and Barb Prueter. — G.G.
