FLINT TWP. — After hosting a well-received TSA PreCheck (Pre®) enrollment period back in April, Bishop International Airport has been invited to hold a second one by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), according to a press release.
The Pre® enrollment center event will be held at the airport for a week beginning on Monday, October 31, 206 through Friday, November 4, 2016. No need to drive to a traditional enrollment location – this is one-stop shopping for all your signup needs.
TSA Pre® is an expedited screening program that enables travelers to enjoy a more efficient expedited screening experience. There is no need to remove shoes, belt, jacket, laptop, or liquids. Applying for TSA Pre® through this local enrollment event is easy. Applicants are encouraged to pre-enroll ahead of time at www.identogo.com/precheck.
Airport Director, Craig Williams said: “This is a great opportunity, especially for frequent and business travelers, to speed up their airport experience. We look forward to opening the mobile enrollment center to all passengers in the region. We encourage everyone to take advantage of it”.
To complete the application process, you will need to bring proof of identity and U.S. citizen documentation (such as a U.S. Passport or a birth certificate and a driver license). If you have a valid U.S. passport, that is all you need for ID. The application fee is $85 for five years of service.
More than 180 airports and 19 participating airlines are now offering TSA Pre® to trusted travelers nationwide, according to the TSA. To learn where, visit the TSA website at www.tsa.gov/precheck/ map
More than 3 million members have already signed up for the service. Back in July, 97 percent of those signed up enjoyed wait times of less than five minutes, TSA reported.
