UM-Flint’s pro bono PT clinic celebrates anniversary

FLINT — PT HEART will hold an Open House for campus and community Sept. 20, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., to celebrate one-year anniversary serving the Flint community in the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village.

PT HEART (Physical Therapy, Health Education, and Rehabilitation Treatment), UM-Flint’s student-led, pro-bono clinic, is located at 4119 N. Saginaw St. It was established in January 2012. It is staffed and managed by Physical Therapy and Health Education students who provide service to uninsured and underinsured people in Flint.

Physical Therapy and Health Education services are offered every Friday from 11:30-1:45 p.m.

PT students are available to provide basic health checks including blood pressure, heart rate, weight and BMI.
