FLINT TWP. — A national company may soon join the Miller Road commercial hub.
Its path has been cleared by the rezoning of two parcels of land west of the Best Buy store. Both were rezoned from Office 1 to Commercial — General Business (C-2) and approved by the township board after second reading last week.
Trustee George Menoutes abstained because his family has interest in the property.
He confirmed after the meeting that a national company is interested but said it is too soon to reveal more details.
One of the parcels is vacant and the other holds a commercial building.
