VFW Post 822 holds fundraising dinner for Operation Toy Soldier

GRAND BLANC — Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 822, 5065 S. Saginaw Rd., will hold a holiday fundraising dinner Nov. 20 from 4-6 p.m. to help ensure the children of Genesee County’s veterans have a joyous Christmas.

Operation Toy Soldier is a nationwide not-for-profit program that helps our local military families. Post 822 is supporting Operation Toy Soldier by collecting new, unwrapped toys. The toys collected go directly to the children of local military families.

The VFW is assisting Martin Funeral Home in their fundraising efforts for this worthy cause.

Dinner will include a choice of: Mostacholi, salad and garlic bread or pork loin, mashed potatoes, and a vegetable.

Cost is $10 a plate or $7, plus one new toy per plate. The VFW is accepting all donations, toys and cash, between now and the day of the event.
