Whitmer makes appointments to boards and commissions

LANSING — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently announced appointments to the Child Lead Exposure Elimination Commission, Advisory Council on Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing, Michigan Interagency Council on Homelessness, Michigan Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board, and Michigan PreK-12 Literacy Commission.

Angela Hood- Beaugard, of Flint, the executive director of the Flint and Genesee Literacy Network, was named to the Child Lead Exposure Elimination Commission.

She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Business Administration from Northwood University.

Hood-Beaugard is appointed to represent the general public for a term commencing Feb. 18 and expiring Dec. 15, 2023. She succeeds the late Danielle Brown. — G.G.
