An article last week regarding the Donation Nation Race should have said the Wildebeest Run is still a local non-profit and organizers plan to return with their race. Donation Nation is only taking the race’s time slot.
The Wildebeest began as a benefit for Flushing Schools in the memory of Greg Flint, in March 2011. Flint died of an unexpected heart attack at work. He left his mark on this community with his passion for running.
Wildebeest and Donation Nation are in no way affiliated, said Wildebeest spokesman Ted Valley, and the organization will resume with its race in the future.
