LANSING — Jason Williamson of Grand Blanc received the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA) Distinguished New Pharmacist Practitioner Award during the Association’s virtual Annual Convention & Exposition, held Feb. 26-27.

This award, sponsored by Pharmacy Services Inc., is given to a Michigan pharmacist who has been licensed to practice for less than 10 years. This individual must also be an MPA member who participates in local, state or national pharmacy associations, professional programs and/or community service.

Jason Williamson, Pharm.D., MS, BCPS, CPPS, is the clinical pharmacy manager and pharmacy graduate year one (PGY1) residency director at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.

Williamson is a graduate of Ferris State University’s College of Pharmacy, completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich., and completed a master’s degree in Pharmacy Leadership from the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy.
