FLINT TWP.
— Woodhaven Senior Community, G-5201 Woodhaven Court, celebrates its 21st Annual Fall Fest 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sept. 11. The event, which sees up to 600 people in attendance, is hosted by the Dixner family for residents and their families and friends.

The theme for this year’s Fall Fest is a carnival theme, and activities include a raffle, giveaways, carnival games, face painting by McLaren Visiting Nurses, a visit by Leader Dogs for the Blind, strolling Shriner Clowns and the Country Clovers 4H Club. Two highlights of the Fall Fest will be the singing of the National Anthem by vocalist Michael Moreno, and a balloon launch at 2 p.m.

“We also have will have a Sweet Treat bake sale, and all proceeds go to Woodhaven’s chapel, which is onsite,” Ballentine said. Books Are Fun, a company which offers quality books at a discount price, will be at the event and offering books for residents and attendees to purchase.
