Wrestlers fourth at Allen Park

FLINT TWP. – Carman-Ainsworth wrestlers finished fourth in the Allen Park Invitational last week.

The Cavaliers had two champions and four other wrestlers place in the top three.

Grayden “Cookie” Hamilton won the 285-pound championship, and Ronald Roland took first at 215.

Jacob Yost was second at 112, Damien Wilkes was runner-up at 119 and Clifford Boxley was second at 135. Elijah Brandon placed third at 103.

On Jan. 27 the Cavaliers hosted a Saginaw Valley League dual meet on their Senior Night and routed Saginaw. Carman-Ainsworth won 13 of the 14 weight classes, defaulting at 152. — D.N.
