YWCA hosts domestic violence awareness walk



FLINT
— The YWCA of Greater Flint invites the community to help increase exposure of domestic violence by participating in its second annual “Strong Alone, Fearless Together: Domestic Violence Awareness 5k Stride” in honor of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Annually, the YWCA of Greater Flint serves more than 6,000 women and children impacted by domestic violence. The stride will be held 9 a.m. Oct. 23. Participants are asked to meet at the Flint River Trail located at the Flint Farmers’ Market, 420 East Blvd. The stride is free and open to the public. The YWCA of Greater Flint will have T-shirts available onsite for purchase for $10.
