YWCA of Greater, MCC partner to raise awareness of domestic violence through film screenings



FLINT
— The YWCA of Greater Flint has partnered with Mott Community College (MCC) to sponsor showings of the documentary Sin by Silence.
The showings are 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Oct. 14 in MCC’s Regional Technology Center, Room 1301.

Sin by Silence
is an emotionallypacked documentary that examines the stories of women incarcerated for killing an abusive partner. Yet, despite the prison walls, the women have learned from their past and are change the future of domestic violence statistics. The documentary examines the system in place to help women gain independence from these relationships and help educate the public about the tragedy of domestic violence.
