The Flushing Fire Department introduced its newest firefighter with a swearing-in ceremony on Monday. Sam Borowicz (right) took the oath of office from Flushing Fire Chief James Michael and received his badge. Borowicz is the fifth new firefighter hired by the department since last fall.
